Walking The High Streets of Los Angeles

On the first leg of our United States and Canada vacation that started on the 17th of April, we first decided to go to Los Angeles. It was just about after lunch when we arrived at the Los Angeles Airport. We took some time to check in at the apartment located at West Hollywood in California. We also took the liberty to chill and rest a little before exploring the streets of LA.

At around six in the evening, we went out to have dinner at In and Out. We also explored the Hollywood Boulevard and went to Hollywood Highlands. It’s just a mere walking distance to our apartment, so it’s pretty accessible for us. Before we went home, we did our usual groceries.

On our second day, we had an early lunch and headed right away to the Griffith Observatory. We just took an Uber from our place to our destination, and it wasn’t really that long when we arrived. After strolling around the observatory, we finally went to see the world-famous Hollywood sign. We took some of our time there, enjoying the breathtaking view and taking up every moment of it. We spent about five hours up there before we took an Uber back home. We arrived in our apartment just in time for dinner.

On our third day in Los Angeles, we met my first cousin Michelle Barrera with her husband Chris and their daughter Macy, at the Venice Beach. Since our family was already with them, we decided to go to Universal Studios altogether. We capped the day off by having dinner at a Chinese restaurant at Universal Walk (Thanks for the treat Ate Michelle and Chris!)

The next day, we were all by ourselves once again. We didn’t have anything much planned so we decided to go and see Rodeo Drive. Again, there’s not much of a hassle to go around Los Angeles since every place there is almost walking distance (or a short Uber ride) to one another.

For our fifth day in Los Angeles, we stayed in all day in our apartment until 5:30 PM. It was then when we went to see Chris Burden’s Urban Light which is located just outside of the Los Angeles Country Museum. Our stay there was brief because we had to go to the Petersen Museum. By dinner time, we found ourselves exploring the streets of Hollywood Boulevard and went back to our apartment afterward.

Our sixth day in Los Angeles is our last full day of stay there. Since we had nothing else to do, we stayed the morning in. We went out just after lunch to see the Chinese Theater and go souvenir shopping. It wasn’t much, but at least we got the chance to have everything get covered!
