Stayed Golden In San Francisco

Day 1

On our eleventh day in the United States, we stayed in San Francisco. To get there, we booked a flight and came in from the Las Vegas Mccarran International Airport before arriving at San Francisco Airport. The apartment we stayed at was just in Daly City. Since we arrived late at night, we had nothing much to do but to buy groceries before heading back to our apartment to rest.

There are many Filipinos living in San Francisco. According to SFGate US , the Asian American population in the US grew faster than any other ethnic group over the past decade, and in few places can that explosion be seen more clearly than in San Francisco’s nearest neighbor – Daly City. In fact the joke around here for a long time has been that the fog in this state is really from rice cookers.

Day 2

For our second day, we got the chance to see the Playoffs game at the Oracle Arena. Golden State Warriors played against New Orleans Pelicans that day and thankfully GSW won!

Day 3

For our third day in San Francisco, we didn’t have much planned. All we had was to go to Union Square. We just booked an Uber to get there since our apartment is just nearby. We went to Macy’s and tried our luck at Cheesecake Factory. The line was crazy so we just ordered some take out desserts. By 7 in the evening, we were already in our apartment and did our usual stuff.

Day 4

I’m currently taking up Master of Development Communication and my final exam was scheduled during our trip in San Francisco. In the exam, we were asked to make an experimental video. Hence all scenes in the video were shot in our apartment. Here it is:

The next day, we went to see the Golden Gate Bridge. If you think that almost every tourist in San Francisco has seen it all, then you’re wrong. There are still a lot of people flocked along the sides, wanting to get a good angle of the bridge. Although, it’s understandable since there’s really something about the Golden Gate that speaks wonders. However, it was extremely cold that day so we immediately left after having our pictures taken.

Day 5

For our fifth day, we finally got the chance to ride the San Francisco cable car. It was fun and very exciting! We had our early dinner at the Fisherman’s Wharf afterward.

For our last full day in San Francisco, we spent it by shopping for souvenirs for our loved ones and exploring the area near our apartment some more.
