Wonders to Wander

Day 2 of Our Hong Kong, Macau, China Trip (Part 1)

Team Flamiano is taking over Hong Kong! I and the two men of the Flamiano fam spent our quick vacation at one of the world’s financial centers.

Hong Kong is popular among tourists all over the world, probably because visiting the special administrative region wouldn’t require a visa and it’s the popular destination for the Hong Kong Disneyland. But more than the famous amusement park, Hong Kong also boasts several places like Victoria Peak and the Avenue of Stars. HK’s nightlife looks wonderful too.

Our first stop was The Avenue of the Stars where we saw some of the famous movie stars in Hong Kong. You can see various paraphernalia from the actors like their handprints, names, and signature etched on the promenade floor.

Then we went to a jewelry factory (owned by Jacky Chan!). After that, we went to Victoria Peak where I had some photos with the view of modern Hong Kong.

Our tour guide told us that the richest people in Hong Kong resides at Victoria Peak. My husband was not able to hop off the bus to take photos as he had to stay with our son who’s too tired and sleepy from the tour. After Victoria Peak, we went to the fishing village where we saw traditional boat houses mostly with airconditioning!

Look who’s excited to go to Hong Kong Disneyland? All of us! It’s the time for our little boy Mikko, and my big boy Hubby to become kids and enjoy the different rides and amenities. The trip to Hong Kong is not complete without the trip to the world’s most favorite theme park.

We have tons of photos of the parade. Here are some of them..

Love the colors!

We love movies, the theater and music. We wouldn’t miss The Golden Mickeys for the world! Here’s a photo of people lining up for The Golden Mickeys…

Traveling to Hong Kong with my family sure is enjoyable, especially when I see my husband and little boy Mikko have fun during the trip. Have you been to Hong Kong? Share your fondest memories with me in the comments!
