Our Australia Adventure (Part 3)

We have over 600 photos in Australia so I decided to just choose the highlights of the remaining weeks of our holiday.

On our 2nd week we went to Sydney and stayed there for a few days. PJ, my husband’s niece, booked us at Meriton Apartments Sydney.

When we arrived at Meriton to check-in, the front desk officer assigned us at the 73rd floor! It was one of the highest floors where guests can have spectacular view of the whole Sydney (It’s probably as high as other observation decks in the world). The accommodation was of course sponsored by my husband’s eldest sister, Ate Letty. She and her family is based in Melbourne, Australia.

On our 2nd day in Sydney, we had photo ops at Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbor Bridge. We also took a ferry ride to Watsons Bay and had fish and chips at Cranky Fins.  For dinner, the rellies craved for pizza so we had dinner at Macchiato Bites, a nearby Italian pizza parlor that uses an old-fashioned brick oven. (Nothing beats a brick oven!)

Our Australia holiday is not complete without a trip to Sydney Opera House

After our trip to Sydney, we went to Morwell, a more laid back place in Melbourne. It is where Ate Letty and her husband Phillip lives. Their house looks cozy and lovely from every angle! A typical middle to higher class Aussie house has a study room, a cupboard, laundry room (inside the house). Their toilet room and powder room is separated from each other.

While at Morwell, we visited Aunt Claire and watched Mia Rose (her granddaughter) showcase her talents..She danced and sang some operatic songs. Her younger brother, Ethan imitated her sister and tried to entertain us too!

They took us to Gumbaya Park in Morwell so we could interact with the Kangaroos. Aside from Kangaroos, we saw a Koala bear and other wildlife birds and native animals. Feeding Kangaroos was scary at first but it was fun and it’s a once-in-lifetime experience!

We had coffee, hot chocolate, and some snacks before heading back to Ate Letty’s home.
