Wonders to Wander

Seeing The Grand Canyon at Las Vegas

Day 1

Our trip to Las Vegas happened during the seventh day of our the United States and Canada leg. From Los Angeles, we were scheduled to stay at Las Vegas from April 23 to April 27. Our first day in Las Vegas was our arrival. We came from Los Angeles airport, and our scheduled flight was at 5:25 PM. Since we know that we’ll be arriving at the departure area pretty early, the whole family geared up for it and did our usual stuff to pass the time.

Just half an hour after six in the evening, we arrived at the Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. Since it was late at night and we were all tired from waiting and traveling, there was nothing much for us to do but to check-in to our apartment and rest.

Day 2

For our second day in Vegas, we were scheduled to go to The Caesars Palace at three in the afternoon. We had a pretty late start since I think everyone was too tired from flying via plane. We just walked from our apartment to Caesar’s Palace.

We also made a side trip to the The Venetian and took lots of photos of the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign.

 Day 3

On our third day, we were all so stoked to start the activities. We were scheduled to go on a Grand Canyon Day Tour. You’d think that what made us so excited to go here. It’s actually because we are viewing it from up above! We were to ride a helicopter. Booking the ride wasn’t much of a hassle as you can directly book it from the Trump Tower. Our whole family enjoyed the breathtaking view of the Grand Canyon. Afterward, we headed to the Bellagio Fountain before going back home to our apartment.

On fourth day in Las Vegas, we decided to explore the Vegas strip once more. While strolling along the strip, we learned that there is also a Panda Express in Las Vegas so went there and had our dinner. We spent about four hours in Vegas strip before going home.

On our last scheduled day in Las Vegas, we decided that it’s time for us to rest. It’s a free day! When we’re traveling and transferring from one place to another, we always would like to take the last day off for us to rest and recharge for our next trip.
