Wonders to Wander

The Beauty That is Paris, France

Switzerland was a blast, and we enjoyed our short stay there. But on the fourth day of our Europe trip, after flying in from Zurich, we arrived in Paris. From the airport, we small plane to Paris which lasted for about 2 hours. It was a comfortable ride, but nothing beats like the comfort of a home. So when we arrived at our apartment in Paris, we first decided to rest before going out to explore Montmartre. We didn’t do much during our first day in Paris because everyone was so tired from all the traveling. We ate our dinner at the apartment and recharged for the next day.

On our second day in Paris, we first went to the Louvre Museum as it is the most accessible one via taxi. After which, we then went to have lunch and visited the Champ Elysees. The Champ-Elysees is known to be a place that draws a perfectly straight line from the Louvre, so we didn’t encounter troubles in getting there. Known as the most famous avenue in Paris, the street is full of designer brands and shops. At the end of it though, we saw the Arc of Triumph.

We had our dinner after an hour of stay in the Champ-Elysees area. To cap off our day, we just went to buy some groceries and headed back to the apartment.

For our third day in Paris, we decided to head out after having lunch. We took the morning downtime as a chance for us to chill and rest first before embarking on another adventure. Our first stop was to go to Le Marais. If we’ve seen some of the post-medieval times of Paris from the day before, Le Marais is far from what the Champ-Elysees looks like. It’s because the Le Marais is the medieval side of Paris and its buildings were built before the revolution started. Luckily, this is one of the places that survived the war and is kept intact until today. After exploring the streets of Le Marais, we went to Moulin Rouge before going home.

The next day, we decided it was a free day for all of us. We felt like we needed to rest a bit and take time to recharge. It only fitted that we did this because we went souvenir shopping the day after. Also, we finally got the chance to see the Eiffel Tower in its full glory!

During our sixth day in Paris, we decided to spend the day at Disneyland. Of course, our trip wouldn’t be complete without visiting any country’s Disneyland. On our last day, we took the time to do some last minute souvenir shopping before finally heading to London.
